Photo Challenge February: Patterns and structures by Hundertwasser

Well, in February I was looking for patterns and structures. And quite early I found my special picture: a pile of wood at my parents’ place. But then something happened and as you can see I’ve now chosen something completely different:

On 28 February I was again on my way to my parents who live some 300 kilometers from me. Unfortunately there was some chaos at Bremen central station and I had to take a different route to get to them. So, late and unplanned I arrived at Uelzen station – rebuild in the 1990s by famous architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser.

I’ll have to say that I’m kind of a fangirl of his architecture. I once had to prepare a talk about him for my English class and since then I really know a lot about him. And I like especially his way to resist strict structures and forms.

And so I had to take this picture when I came along Uelzen train station.

What do you think – did I manage my challenge? Stay tuned for my next topic 🙂
